Moving Beyond the Page 6-8 – Concept 1, Unit 2, Lesson 4: Living in America
Today we learned about life in America. We revisited the American flag, and learned about the meaning of each of the symbols in it. We studied flag shapes and went over the entire collection of world flags looking for the unique designs, colors and shapes. We recited The Pledge of Allegiance as we have done so many times in our beloved St. Matthew’s Cooperative Preschool. AA attempted to play The Star Spangled Banner in his keyboard, he’ll probably get it with a few more practice sessions. Lastly, AA designed our very own family’s flag: a lovely composition of odd shapes pasted or drawn on a rectangular piece of construction paper.
