All About Spelling, Level 1, Step 8: Short O Sound

We continue to enjoy All About Spelling lessons. AA really looks forward to these and has requested to do AAS first for the last few days. I enjoy them myself too. The lesson goes by fast, and the use of the tiles, cards and sounds make it a highly sensory activity. Today AA chose to tuck himself under the easel to work with his letter tiles.

Why not tuck myself under the easel today?

Handwriting Without Tears

We practiced handwriting today for about 5 minutes, really! AA did one sheet in the English book and one in Español. His handwriting is looking prettier and prettier everyday!

Moving Beyond the Page 6-8 – Concept 3, Unit 1, Lesson 5: Habitats and Geography

Today we explored different habitats around the world and explored once again the geography of the seven continents. We used the Usborne Children’s Picture Atlas Book. As always, Usborne books succeed in keeping both children and adults engaged, entertained and educated. We learned about living resources, how people use their animals in their communities, and wrote a poem about an animal in our area. Actually, the animal was not quite one found in our habitat, but AA decided a lion was his animal of choice this time around.
