Moving Beyond the Page 6-8 – Concept 3, Unit 2, Lesson 3: Different Religions
Today we learned about different religions around the world and how they shape the culture of a community. We learned about special holidays in the Muslim, Christian, and Jewish religions: Ramadan, Easter, Christmas, and Hanukkah. We created math graphs documenting data of the religions practiced by members of the community. Lastly, AA wrote about his own beliefs. We differentiated between being spiritual and being religious.
Podcasting
AA has been creating his own podcast reading “The Nightingale” by Hans Christian Andersen. He started with great enthusiasm and so did I. I plan to upload the podcast as soon as I can. Because of copyright issues, I believe, we can’t just upload anything. Fortunately, there’s plenty of material out there that could be used for podcasting. We’ll see what we come up with…
