7 More Free Teaching Resources Websites to Spice Up your Homeschool

Here’s the second part of the list of excellent free teaching resources I’ve been gathering as I find them.  It’s really amazing all fantastic free resources that one can find nowadays. Don’t know what I’d do without Google and our Internet connexion … I appreciate them so much 😉

I do have a personal minimum quality threshold that a resource must meet or surpass in order to make it into my lists.  If the website would really add value to our learning then I’m happy, and grateful I found it.  So rest assured that in my lists you will only see those sites that are worth our while.

 

1. Soft Schools

SoftSchools.com provides free math worksheets, free math games, grammar quizzes and free phonics worksheets and games. Worksheets and games are organized by grades and topics. These printable math and phonics worksheets are auto generated.

 

2. Curriculum Bits

Curriculumbits.com offer free online access to a growing range of interactive multimedia e-learning teaching resources. The online teaching resource library contains educational games, quizzes, animations and videos in a variety of subjects.

 

3. Tools for Educators

ToolsforEducators.com offers free teaching tools: worksheets and game makers, such as word searches, board games, dice, bingo, mazes, etc. I used the bingo maker for our Spanish classes at the co-op and it the kids loved it.

 

4.  Teaching Ideas

TeachingIdeas.co.uk is a website from the U.K. offers hundreds of free lesson plans, activities and resources for teaching the primary years.

 

5.  Early Learning HQ

EarlyLearninghq.org.uk, also from the UK, has tons of high quality, beautiful printables, lesson plans, activities, role-plays, stories, songs, poems and games for preschoolers through early elementary

 

6. Sparkle Box

SparkleBox.co.uk, another British site with wonderful free teaching resources, most of them in several languages. I’ve downloaded quite a few oh so cute printables from here. They’re great!

 

7.  PreK-8

PreK-8.com has lots of free printable worksheets for preschoolers through third grade, not really 8th as the name implies, at least, not that I could find.
