Research by Concordia University Says They Are

If you have the time, I encourage you to watch it all. It’s worth it. But if you don’t. Here’s the gist of it:

A study conducted by a researcher in Canada’s Concordia University concludes that children in a structured homeschool, can hold a level of up to 5 grades higher than their counterparts in public school.  Unstructured homeschooling, however, seems to lag behind their public school peers a bit.  This study only looked at a sample of elementary homeschoolers and its comparison group up.

The panelists, which included a homeschooling mom of 6 –and College Professor, and a Psychologist Researcher, agree that the biggest misconception is the socialization issue.  The mom of 6, and homeschooler for 20 years, says she’d change nothing if she had to do it again. –”It was easy”, she adds nonchalantly. That’s the spirit! Homeschooling 6 children, teaching at college and it’s all  an easy experience. Gotta love it!
