Free Printable Civil Rights Activity Book Homeschool History

Tolerance is respect, acceptance and appreciation of the rich diversity of the world’s cultures our forms of expression and ways of being human.

–Unesco Declaration on Principles of Tolerance

This quote appears in big, blue letters at the top of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s site “Teaching Tolerance.”

I stumbled upon this site by accident, and was quite pleased with the message and mission of the Southern Poverty Law Center.  I also found this nicely-put-together free printable civil rights activity book, which I think will prove fun and useful should you want to study civil rights on occasion of Martin Luther King Day.

I hope your children will enjoy filling its pages while learning about this very important chapter in American History.  The authors claim it’s good for grades 4-6, or for civil rights enthusiasts of all ages.

So, here’s the link for you to download this handy dandy civil rights activity book directly:

Happy civil rights learning!
