Preparation:

Exercise:

It is always so fascinating to go through the learning process with a child. This one seemed to me like such a simple exercise, and yet it was so new for Super Hero. He really learned about perspective and how to view overlapping objects with a more critical eye in order to transfer them into the paper. A real good practice for a young child. Here’s what we did:

First, I placed a few simple objects one in front of the other. I asked Super Hero to ignore the markers inside the mug, but I think it would have been better to take them out. Although, it wasn’t a big deal at all, it just would’ve been cleaner to do so.

 

Then, I demonstrated how to draw the objects placed in front of another by following the instructions on page 85.

 

Then Super Hero practiced drawing on his own Donna Young’s worksheets.

 

Here are the final results of these worksheets.
